How to tell if a Loewe bag is real

Check if the interior “LOEWE” text has the same thickness for all letters. The same applies to its stitches!

1. Label

• Authentique :
  • Thicker “Made in Spain” text.
  • Every thread is perfectly aligned — also shorter than the fake stitches.
• Faux :
  • Text is too thin.
  • Stitching is crooked and longer than the authentic.

• Authentique : The leather panels are further away from each other.
• Faux : Smaller gap between the leather panels.

3. Side

• Authentique : The stitching is thinner compared to the replica.
• Faux : Thicker stitches.

This tab helps you open and close the bag (it operates the zipper).

• Authentique : Thinner, slimmer stitches compared to the original.
• Faux : Thicker stitches.

• Faux : Thicker stitches, once again.

• Authentique : Fit deep into the leather, having a bold look.
• Faux : Not fit as deep as the real one — hence why it looks thinner.

7. Strap

Also known as the belt of your Loewe bag.

• Authentique : Thinner stitches, angled at around 15 degrees.
• Faux : Thicker and straight stitches.

8. Stitching

We’ll look outside the bag — on the leather panels.

• Authentique : Thinner and a bit longer threads.
• Faux : Thick, small, and boxy stitches.

9. Carbine

• Authentique : Thicker, more solid text.
• Faux : “LOEWE” is too thin.

The genuine bag’s text is fit deeper into the metal That’s why it looks thicker than the replica.

10. Dust bag

There is no picture size difference between the two.
