The patch on the fake is slanted as opposed to the clear-embroidered one on the authentic version. This is not to say that every single authentic patch should be perfectly embroidered (production flaws emerge from time to time), as this can happen as well on retails if they’re not dried correctly or simply because of wear.
The conclusion, though, is that if you’re looking at a brand-new hoodie and you see this, it’s a major (not instant) call-out or if it’s worn and it shows this level of poor craftsmanship, it will tell you to investigate further for other tells.
