How To Authenticate Nike Dunk Low Black White

How to tell if Nike Dunk Pandas are fake

You can tell if Panda Dunks are fake by checking if the size tag’s text is too thick, as all fake pairs have this flaw. Authentic Nikes have the same font weight for all inscriptions.

1. Maattabel

In this image with the fake vs real Panda Dunks, you can see one huge flaw:

  • The fake pair’s “MADE IN …” text is too thin.
  • Notice how the same inscription is too big as well.
  • The same goes for all of the other inscriptions.

We’ve pointed out the thickness issue just on the print indicating where the shoes were made, though it is visible all over the fake pair’s size tag.

1.2. Where are Panda Dunks made?

Authentic Nike Black & White (Panda) Dunks are manufactured in China, Indonesia and Vietnam.

Remember, if a shoe is manufactured in China, it doesn’t instantly mean that it is a fake. In fact, most of the authentic Nike sneakers are mainly constructed in China as well.

Mening van een expert - Laat ons je Nikes controleren:

2. Interior tongue label

  • The fake pair mainly has its text smaller and thicker than the real pair’s text.
  • The”SWOOSH” text on the first line of text makes it easier to notice.
  • The registered trademark (“®”) symbol is too close to the “SWOOSH” text.
  • The “NIKE.LE” text is too small. Also, the “.LE” part is bigger than the real print.

Authentic Panda Dunks must have their text at the same size — you can see this on the authentic pair above.

3. Back stitching

Flip your Panda Dunks to the back and have a look at the three lines of stitching on the white patch.

This picture with the fake vs real Panda Dunks shows you how:

  • The fake pair’s stitching is different from the real ones.
  • All three lines of white stitching in the middle of the fake pair are too thin and too long.

Looking at the image with the real shoes above, you can note how the real pair must have pretty thick and small threads.

4. Perforations

By perforations, we’re talking about the holes on the front side of the shoe — on the white leather part.

  • The fake Panda Dunk has smaller holes than the real pair’s holes.

The authentic pair is supposed to have bigger, wider holes than the ones in the fake example above.

Makes sure to compare your shoes to the image above, as this flaw can easily be mistaken if you don’t have a reference comparison side-by-side.

5. Insole print

The issue with the fake pair’s insole is related to both of the registered trademark (“®”) symbols:

  • The fake pair’s “®” symbols are too thin.
  • The “®” characters are placed too far away from the “NIKE” text.
  • The fake letter “R” doesn’t touch the edges of the circle, while the real “R” does

It’s little details like these that make a difference between the fake and real Panda Dunks.

6. Swoosh

  • The fake pair’s Swoosh has fewer stitches than the authentic pair.
  • The stitches on the fake pair are too thin and long.

Real Panda Dunks must have really dense stitches, and they’re also supposed to be pretty thick and small.

7. Toe box

  • The fake sneakers have their toe box inflated too much.
  • The whole toe box is higher than the authentic pair’s toe box.

Use this image with the fake vs real Panda Dunks to see what the authentic pair must look like — it is supposed to have a pretty deflated look.

8. Exterior tongue label

You can observe in this picture above how:

  • The fake pair’s “®” symbol on the lower part of the tongue is too thick.
  • The same symbol is also too boxy.

The real pair’s “®” symbol is a bit thinner and bigger than the counterfeit pair’s.
