How to tell if Beabricks are real

The quickest and most reliable way to tell if Bearbricks are real is to scan the barcode on the box. If no results come up, the figure is 100% fake.

Keep reading for a detailed breakdown.

1. Barcode

At Legit Check, we’re great fans of spotting fakes via barcodes.

1.1. Where to find it

The barcode can be found on the box of your figure.

You’ve got two options:

1. Scan the barcode using the Legit Check App
2. Type the numbers on your internet browser

Let’s now scan the barcodes.

1.2. Authentic

The right figure comes up. All of these details match:

• Name
• Color
• Size

Just what we need.

Now, let’s also look at the fake figure and see what its barcode is like.

1.3. Fake

This is a 100% fake barcode because:

• The name doesn’t match
• Other figures are being shown in the titles
• And the pictures don’t match either.

Hence, there is no way for this barcode to be authentic.

2. Sole – Bearbrick

• Authentic: Bigger empty parts of each letter (e.g. B or R)
• Fake: Every letter’s empty circle is too narrow.

3. Sole – Medicom Toy

• Authentic: The empty circles in “O” are smaller.
• Fake: The letters “O” are too big this time.

4. Holographic sticker

• Authentic: Once tilted, the sticker’s background text is entirely visible.
• Fake: The background’s text is not visible enough.
