This is the ultimate legit check guide for the Jordan 4 x Travis Scott — compare yours to the real vs fake images below.
How you can tell fake Travis Scott Jordan 4
You can tell a fake Travis Scott Jordan 4 by checking the interior tongue labels. If the letters are connected with stitches, the shoes are fake.
1. Size tag
The “LN4” on the top right corner of the size tag is significantly thinner on the fake box, whereas the LN4 text on the authentic Travis Scott 4 features bolder characters.
The Air Jordan logo at the top is too thin on the fake pair.
Finding it too hard? Have our experts legit check your Travis Scotts:
2. Interior tongue labels
2.1. Travis Scott
On the Travis Scott tag, you will observe that the “R” character has a different shape on the fake when compared to what it looks like on the real sneakers.
Also, the “S” and “C”, “S” and “I” have stitching that connects these letters on the fake pair whereas on the authentic pair, the characters are clearly separated and the text is devoid of any connecting stitching.
2.2. Air Jordan
On the Air Jordan tag, you will also spot similar inconsistencies with the text.
Here, the “R” character in the word “AIR” has an extra black thread on the fake pair.
Besides, there are more threads connecting “R”, “D” and “A” on the fake pair.
The connecting threads are an obvious tell of a fake Air Jordan 4 Cactus Jack pair as they are synonymous with the poor quality of equipment used in the production process.
3. Suede effect
The suede effect is more highlighted on authentic shoes than one on fake shoes.
When touching the legit shoes and drawing a line with your finger, they must leave darker paths and traces of where the shoes were touched.
The fake shoes do leave traces, however, their quality is inferior to the authentic shoes, because the suede effect is not as pronounced and highlighted as the one found on the legit shoes.
4. Suede color
The fake Air Jordan 4 Cactus Jack pair has a more vibrant and powerful blue colour.
The authentic sneakers have a more toned-down sky-blue colour
Also, you will notice that the red colour of the sock liner on the fake sneakers is of a slightly darker shade compared to the colour on the real Air Jordan 4 Cactus Jack.
So, if on unboxing your sneakers you notice that the colour appears to be deeper than what it is on the authentic, then you are probably looking at a fake Jordan 4 Travis Scott.
A quick mention:
The steps we’ve written so far are the BEST ways to authenticate this item
The next few steps are still reliable methods…
… but they apply to non-top-versions of replicas available for this item
If in doubt, we recommend double-checking the steps we’ve explained above this line.
5. Sockliner
On the fake pair, you will notice that the sockliner does not have the right padding and shape.
This is especially obvious on the heel’s side where the sockliner is noticeably less curvy.
This is in contrast to the more shapely sockliner you would find on an original pair of the Travis Scott 4.
6. Tongue
While the fake one seems to have less and longer stitching, the stitching on the authentic pair is smaller and more precise.
The fake pair has thicker stitches.
The fake threads are crooked, as they’re not straightly positioned.
7. Rear logos
There are two logos on the back heel tab of the Air Jordan 4 Travis Scott. One is the Air Jordan Jumpman logo while the other is the Cactus Jack logo from where the sneakers got its name.
7.1. Cactus Jack
On the fake, you will notice that the text is significantly thinner.
The authentic pair is obviously bolder.
This inconsistency is easily visible in the “S” and “K” characters on the fake pair.
7.2. Air Jordan
The head of the Jumpman has a little outline on the authentic pair, which the fakes are missing.
The legs of the Jumpman appear to be too arched on the fake pair and while they should not be completely straight, they are significantly more arched than they appear on the real sneakers.
The excess arch flaw can also be observed on the left leg of the Jumpman, and besides, the form of the Jumpman’s shoe is different from what it is on the authentic.
8. Insole
The stitching on the fake insole is very obvious.
The stitching on the real sneakers is very neat and blends in perfectly with the insole such that it can barely be seen.
9. Box label
The inconsistency here can be found in the “cm” text.
You will notice that the characters are generally more rounded than they are on the authentic label and the “c” is also thicker on the fake box label than it is on the real one.
